A lot going on but didn’t feel like it ever really went anywhere.
This story captivated me from the jump. I was worried about reading it because I loved The Wife Between Us and didn’t want it to ruin this author for me. I was not disappointed. The story had me guessing none stop, with me not figuring out almost until the very end. The major plot twist had me sitting up in awe of the choices made. Seriously, I was laying down in my blankets and I shot up, shocked because I didn’t see it coming!!
The book started out exciting, but had its lengths at the end. Some decisions are not really comprehensible for me and ultimately the story was already clear about halfway through the book and there were not so many surprises. Nevertheless, it has entertained me well!

I really, really, REALLY enjoyed this book. I can't remember the last time I was completely engrossed in an audiobook like I was with this one.
You have a really scary, smart therapist, a cheating husband and an innocent woman who's stuck in the middle just because she saw an opportunity to make more money.
The synopsis in itself made me very intrigued with the story but once I started getting into it more and finding out what was going on, I was hooked.
I love how the therapist and the FMC both of separate POV's and when you're reading the therapists she makes YOU feel like you're Jessica (the FMC) so the entire time i'm yelling at the book telling it to stop grooming me while also really wanting to know what she's going to have me do next.
This followed some tough relationship problems that I unfortunately could relate to a little too well, even the names made it a little too close to home but I think that made me really love it too.
I had no idea who was telling the truth and who was lying, the authors did a great job making you think you know what's going on and then you're left second guessing yourself.
The story is definitely anticlimactic but it's still so, so good.
Also they mentioned my home town of Litchfield, CT and that made me smile from ear to ear!
I highly recommend!

I think I have decided that I don’t like thrillers. I don’t like the implausible set ups to move the story along. I gave this book 3 stars because it was well written and it was fast-paced somewhat but relying on a stupid girl to get taken in in order to create suspense doesn’t work for me. I would have run like the wind after the first few questions. I have yet to read a thriller that doesn’t depend on an unreliable narrator or a gullible character.
