Although the writing and insightful lessons were conveyed well, the supposed twists and turns were unfortunately more straightforwared and subtle than initially eluded to. However, praise is rewarded for the lingering suspense I was locked into throughout reading the book.

The first half was interesting and engaging, but the second half was slow and dragged out, to a point where I ended up skimming instead of reading, quickly turning the pages.
All I can say is “meh”

This book was very fast paced. I literally had to force myself to put it down several times to get stuff done.

Yes, this was a definite page turner, but the last 20% and the ending fell flat for me. The ending was particularly underwhelming -- especially for Dr. Shields.

As a researcher, I'm like -- how the heck did Dr. Shields get IRB approval for a study that was clearly coercive with its huge monetary incentive. Ha! But holy cow - what a twisted woman. She reminds me of Peyton, Rebecca de Mornay's character in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle.

The premise and the audiobook narrators were so good that it kept me invested. But I hate that Dr. Lydia Shields was this beautiful, smart and successful therapist but can’t leave her cheating and lying husband. That’s just so annoying. And the book revolves around that

This was SO GOOD! I couldn’t put it down and the end did not disappoint.
