Pros:
- Very interesting premise surrounding a psychological study, which I haven't encountered much before especially in the thriller genre.
- 2 different POVs, in which one is told in *second person point of view*. It sets a creepy tone well and makes it an engaging read.
- Vulnerability and actions of the main character are surprisingly believable due to well explained backstory.
- Even though the cat and mouse game (or power struggle) seemed a bit too one-sided at times, the writers still found a way balance it by hiding certain information from one character in a way that wasn't too contrived. It was entertaining dramatic irony. And you're never sure whether there are 2 or more players in this game.
Cons:
- A certain side character seemed unnecessary; felt like they were just added in the story to later bring more pain to another character. And the way it was done was one of the worst parts of the book because it was just too over the top and unbelievable.
- Ending/resolution to the cat and mouse game was overall very underwhelming. It didn't feel "earned" and just felt unsatisfying.
- Logic of the main character was sometimes questionable or confusing. When a "clue" or new information is presented, the main character ended up with an entirely different assumption from me/the reader. A couple instances where the MC connected two things together, it felt contrived for sake of plot and didn't feel like it was due to the intelligence of the MC.

I love a unique concept and this fully gives you that!! A domestic thriller with a psychological spin that had me guessing until the very end. There were definitely repetitive aspects throughout that made some chapters drag but overall, I loved the dual points of view and how creative the plot was! I listed to this one on audio and the different voices were everything! Highly recommend if you’re in a thriller rut.

Another great book written by Greer and Sarah. I love the writing style and I was completely mesmerised front to back. Compelling, mysterious and utterly suspenseful. I love reading anything written by these authors! Fast paced, unpredictable and absolutely gripping what a thriller. 4.5 Stars!!
Graphic: Death, Drug use, Emotional abuse, Infidelity, Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Self harm, Sexual assault, Sexual violence, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Terminal illness, Toxic relationship, Vomit, Medical content, Grief, Stalking, Car accident, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, Abandonment, Alcohol
Takie ok, bardzo szybko się czytało. Świetny pomysł wyjściowy, choć liczyłam, że będzie o wiele bardziej paranoiczne z większą ilością szaleństwa.

I really enjoyed the writing, it allowed for suspense while giving you enough clues to figure things out. The writing from the POV of Dr Shields really showed the deranged direction that the plot was heading. However, I also have expected what the twist was since it was pretty obvious from the get-go. The idea of Jessica weighing moral decisions in her mind because of the study seems unrealistic for me.
This story was so intriguing. It felt like a subtle build, yet kept me on the edge of my seat and just like in their other story, the twists were definitely surprising. I really enjoyed this collaboration and definitely hope to read more from these authors. This one definitely left me wanting more!
