A book that will suck you right in and keep you guessing.
I liked this book enough to give it a solid three stars, but I really wanted to like it more. The Wife Between Us was such a great read and An Anonymous Girl had such a great premise that maybe I just set my expectations too high. After reading the first three chapters on Bookish First I just knew I had to get my hands on it. So when I saw it available as a read-now title on NetGalley I snatched it up and read it right away, even ditching my current read for it.
This book will definitely keep you turning the pages to find out what is going on. The pacing is good and these authors are clever with the twists and turns. But, while I enjoy a story with alternating narrators, some of the doctor's point of view just didn't always ring true for me. The plot was engaging but it just didn't go where I wanted it to. That is no fault of the authors' and much more to do with personal taste and a much different vision. I expected this to delve more into ethics and morality, playing up the psychological aspect a lot more than it did. Hard to explain without giving things away!
I do predict this will be a huge hit and I will continue to recommend it to readers who like a good, fast, twisty page-turner.

This was a really great one. Narration was excellent and plot line was smooth. Characters were well developed. Really nerve wracking. Your mind won’t wander during this one!!!
This author duo is amazing. I loved their first book but enjoyed this one even more. It was a fast paced story that kept me up reading through the night. It wasn't scary so much but the psychological profile the authors created was thrilling and kept me on edge. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for another book like Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train.
I went on a thriller hiatus for a few months after getting burned out over the summer, and An Anonymous Girl was the perfect pick to grab my attention! This is a unique thriller with a small cast of characters (which was a relief to me this time around), and it was fun to go in-depth with these characters.
There's a lot of manipulation going on, and I enjoyed seeing all the layers peeped back. This was almost a 5⭐ read for me, but I feel like it got too complicated toward the end & started to drag a bit. I enjoyed the complicated twists to an extent, but I wish it would have stopped a little earlier than it did. I wasn't really crazy about the ending as a whole. I loved the drama, but just needed a little bit less.
That being said, I had so much fun reading An Anonoymous Girl. This is a very addicting book, and I highly recommend picking it up when it comes out on 1/8/19!

This book kept me enthralled from beginning, middle and end! I really liked the difference in writing styles between the two main characters and the chapters; it kept things fresh. I'll have to keep an eye out for more books by either of these authors :)
