This psychological thriller, An Anonymous Girl, follows the life of Jessica Farris (and her joining a study for extra cash) and psychologist Dr. Shields as lines begin to blur and emotions run high. Who is the sane one? Is anyone sane?!
If you're a fan of psychological thrillers, I think this book may be right up your alley. As for myself, it's not a genre I normally read but as it was recommended to me, I took a stab at it. It took awhile for the story to wind up and it most definitely kept my attention - I had to see what crazy things would happen next. But like most thrillers I read, I had my standards too high as far as expecting some major twist and so the ending just felt a bit lackluster. Overall a decent book.

A great book that I had trouble putting down. Ethical dilemmas, moral conundrums, and a research study that would never pass an IRB kept me intrigued all the way to the end.
Better than three, but less than 4 stars for me. Great plot, but it drags on. And for me by the 3/4ths mark of the book I wanted to bitch-slap the two women.
I loved everything about this book...except the ending. It was a bit of a let down and felt as though it fizzled out rather than reaching an actual, believable conclusion.
I was a pretty big fan of “The Wife Between Us” so I was eager to read this one. Unfortunately it didn’t hit the same notes. This was a pretty slow paced book and the pay off didn’t feel worth it. Nothing super shocking happens and I found myself asking at the end, “Is that it?”.

I've been trying to think of how I'll word this review, but nothing's really coming. I just don't know what to talk about. I can see where all of the positive reviews are coming from, yet I can also understand all of the negative reviews equally. I was intrigued, but I also wasn't. See my issue?
It's earned 2.5 stars from me— smack dab in the middle. I rounded it up to 3. Maybe I'll revisit this one in the future and see if I like it more then, because it definitely wasn't bad.
