If you like psychological thrillers, this is one with plenty of twists and "lessons" in psychology to boot. A nice level of suspense, featuring surprises and mysteries wrapped up with a bow of secrets, make this a thriller you won't want to put down until you reach the last page.

Well, I blew through this in 24hrs so it's definitely a page turner. The writing kept me on the edge of my seat and I found myself testing theories and answering the questions posed.

The progression of Jess and Dr. Shield's relationship was very believable. The scheming and calculation of the two women was great and I was glad to have the rotating POV through the book. I liked that things kept coming out of the woodwork and how it laced back to earlier in the book.

I definitely enjoyed this more than their first book. Great concept but got a bit lost in the over the top “abilities” of the antagonist. Hated how Lydia was written in the passive voice. Predictable but highly listenable.

While this book is well written, absolutely crazy and with very good narration, I just couldn't suspend my belief of how unethically a psychologist was acting, especially since she was studying morality. That said, I thought Jess was a good character and unlike Shay from You Are Not Alone, Jess was pretty smart, she was just up against someone smarter. The story was good and I would genuinely recommend it but I have learned that psychologists being untrustworthy is not a genre I like lol

Hated this book. Found it cheesy and too heavy handed. Couldn’t ever suspend disbelief long enough to get engaged in the story. Wanted to know what happened so I finished the whole thing, but didn’t enjoy it. BOTM fail.

I read the whole book in one day - very engaging psychological thriller about a woman and a creepy psychiatrist and all the things that happen. Recommend for a beach read (or long airplane ride).

If you loved "The Wife Between Us" you will love this! Even if you didn't, and you love really well-written psychological thrillers. Written from the perspective of Jessica Farris, a lovely young woman trying to make a living in NYC and harboring a tragic secret and the doctor overseeing a psychology study Jessica makes herself a part of, the story takes you on ride that is hard to come off. There is a mystery, secrets (of course) love, and more. It's hard to say more without giving away the story, but I highly recommend this to readers who love thrillers - you will not be disappointed.
