Adriana Locke is one of my go-to authors. I don’t think I’ve read a book of hers that I haven’t loved. This one was no exception.

Awww I melted
Adriana hasn't written a book I didn't LOVE, so I'm not at all surprised that I adored this one! There was something so refreshing about Megan, and I loved the banter between her and grumpy cat Chase. Kennedy was a sweetheart and the way Megan connected with her and understood her actually brought tears to my eyes. Chase's brothers were hilarious additions to the story too (and I want them to get their own books too lol).
Such a sweet, enjoyable quick read!

More Than I Could was a sweet single dad, grumpy/sunshine romance just a few of my favorite tropes. I absolutely adored Megan and Chase, their story was fun and I loved their verbal sparring. These two had so much chemistry from the start and it was fun to watch all the tension build up between these two until they couldn’t hold back anymore. I loved the way that Megan was with his daughter Kennedy and how she listened and protected her. Another great story from Adriana you won’t want to miss!
Maxine Mitchell and Tor Thom narrated this book and they brought the story and the characters to life. Tor did a great job of portraying Chase’s grumpy persona and Maxine did amazing at portraying Megan’s sweet and fun personality. I loved both performances.

I absolutely loved this book. I love small town series and this one is no different. Chase is a single dad with a 14 year old daughter. Megan comes to stay with them for a month to watch over his daughter while her grandparents are out of town. You could feel Chase & Megan's chemistry. It was impossible to ignore. The story was just heartfelt and also had some witty moments. All the side characters were great and I can only hope that one day we get stories from the rest of Chase's siblings.
Megan and Chase were exactly the characters I expect from this author; Interesting, full of personality (grumpy cat LOL), and extremely sexy. As usual, though, it was her side characters that called to me. Kennedy was such an awesome influence over the story, adding so much depth! I wish I could give 10 stars

This was a perfect weekend read, light and funny, with just the right balance of steam and biting banter. Megan and Chase are five-alarm fun, full of heat and dirty jokes in this small town, grumpy-sunshine romance. Their chemistry is off the charts, which is evident within seconds of meeting, but they’re both determined not to act on this insane attraction. They’re completely honest about it though, which makes it interesting. Nobody is shy or subtle about it, they put all their cards on the table from the beginning, which is so refreshing.
Chase is a devoted single dad carrying a lot of guilt who worries he’s failing his teenage daughter. He doesn’t do relationships because he dated someone for years and when they broke up, Kennedy was devastated. Chase will never bring anyone else into their lives because he won’t risk hurting his daughter again. Megan is restless and desperate to find direction in her life again. She doesn’t know what she wants out of life right now and it’s frustrating. Her job was fun and glamorous but she doesn’t actually miss any of that. Nothing feels right and nowhere feels like home. Megan’s a little lost.
Despite feeling rudderless, Megan is fierce. She’s funny, smart and always stands up for herself. Chase is broody and cranky on the surface, but he’s a romantic deep down. They fell hard and fast, but it never seemed rushed or tenuous. They had an incredible connection from the moment they met, intense and deep. They’re both very real and honest. I really enjoyed watching them figure things out and the supporting cast is hilarious. I hope we get a lot more of the Marshall family.
this was good but it went from nothing happening to everything happening in the blink of an eye
Home Sweet Home
I enjoyed this book. Loved the banter between Chase and Megan. Felt a little rushed but there’s no timeline on love.
