This was my first book by Adrian Locke and it will not be my last.

Single Grumpy Dad, Chase meets his match with smoke-show, quick witted Megan! From the moment he helps her on the side of the road to when they formally meet at his mother house the tension is THERE!!!

Megan has recently lost her job and as a favor to her mother, who broke her leg, is to stand in and nanny for her mothers friends sons, Chase, teenage daughter, Kennedy for a month. Reasoning being is that Kennedy is entering that age in her life where she is reckless and like any parent is worried.  Insert Megan, and the fun begins. Megan and Chase address the issue that they are attracted to each other and lines should not be crossed but..well.. you know how it goes ;)

When it goes...the dang thing goes!!! The chemistry between these two is next level! Not only in a "in bed" chemistry but these two hold their own and banter like it's their job and its entertaining! I enjoyed Megan, although she is in a point in her life where she just go fired from a job that she loved, she seems at a lost. Doing this favor for a month I think was exactly what she needed. Chase, is the perfect Single Dad, Grumpy/Sunshine! I could feel his hotness while reading!

I really enjoyed this book and I plan on goin on an Adrian Locke binge to read other books by her!

Why I Love The Book

-Banter. Watching grumpy Chase interact with all the people in his life who he loves but make him crazy is so funny! When Chase meets Megan he tries so hard not to like her and keep his distance, but it's like he can't help himself. Watching her tease and annoy him was so fun! I was laughing so hard by the end of their first scene together and could not wait to watch things develop!

-Relatability. It felt like these characters' insecurities and problems were SO relatable. Megan is struggling with what direction to take her life and trying to figure out where she belongs as a 30 year old woman, who hasn't felt like that at some point?

Writing Style- I enjoyed the flow and pacing a lot. The story has a great balance of humor, conflict, spice and found family dynamics that I just ate up!

Single dad romance is like chocolate to me, I can just never get enough. Add in small town grumpy hero and I'm a goner!
Seeing how Chase loved and cared for his teenage daughter was so touching! Then watching the romance grow and simmer (and then explode) between him and Megan was just delicious. I loved all of the small town quirky characters who were trying to nudge Chase and Megan together. Also, seeing Megan navigate the big changes in her life was so refreshing. I love when I can relate to the personal struggles of a character and see them fall in love at the same time.
I loved this book and will be looking forward to listening to the audio when it is released!!
I was sent a free ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Favorite quotes:
"Grey sweatpants are men's lingerie. Everyone knows that"

"I'm also lost. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with my life or what my goals even are. How can I be thirty years old and unsettled? Is it normal to look in the mirror in the morning and recognize the face but not recognize the person looking back at you?"

 "Lets make a new agreement."
"Fine. What do you want it to say?"
" I want it to say that I want you in my bed. I want to kiss you whenever and wherever I want. I want you, and you're important to me. Okay?"

This book didn't work out for me the way I wanted it to. I was really into the first half and then started to get a bit bored until closer to the end. It was funny and I liked the friendships Megan formed with Chase's family. The way she was with his daughter was perfect. The thing that was not so perfect was how everything resolved in the end. Megan and Chase's time together was so little for there to be such a big ending.

I loved this book!! I will definitely read it again sometime.

This book filled my heart with immense warmth.

Megan is sweet, a little sassy, and has an immediate connection with Kennedy, Chase's daughter.

Chase is very grumpy, hot and what I liked about him was that he didn't hesitate to show Megan his insecurities as a single father.

The chemistry between the two is strong from the beginning. Although, Megan arrived at Chase's house as a nanny for Kennedy, this disappears during the course of the story, as well as the pact made between them to resist temptation.
Megan becomes like a mother for Kennedy and defends the girl when someting happend, and her relationship with Chase becomes more and more streamy.

I really liked the friendship between Meghan and Gavin. I think I always laughed when the two met and talked.

This story is a wonderful one, which warms your heart as you read it.

Thank you Adriana Locke for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.
