Small town heart with big personality. Locke dares to find the funny. With sassy characters, spicy chemistry and emotion that runs deep, More Than I Could makes it's presence known. Locke brings the flavor and Thom and Mitchell are the icing on the cake. A feel good heart warmer.

I love a story about real people. No billionaires, no actors, musicians. Just real people with regular jobs and everyday issues. This book is a whirlwind, only spans a short amount of time, yet somehow it feels like we've lived in this world a while. It's supposed to be a complete stand alone, but I really hope the author explores more of this family, because there are so many possibilities for more great stories. I want to see more of Kennedy, how she grows with a mother figure. I want to see Gavin meet his match, Luke grow, all of it. Adriana Locke writes great family dynamics and I want more!

I enjoyed it just as much listening to it as I did when I read it when it first came out.

Maxine Mitchell is amazing. she is one of my favorite narrators, and I jump to listen to her books. she does a great male voice and a really good kid voice. Tor Thom was just okay for me. it feels like he doesn't have a good conversational flow. it's like, sentence, hard stop. another sentence, hard stop. it doesn't feel like natural conversation, it comes off kind of aggressive.

Audio update!
I guess I am in my Maxine Era?! Whether she’s a rock star’s new bride, a boss babe loved by three men, or a nanny for a cinnamon roll daddy, she nails them all!

It’s been a while since I read an Adriana book and this was just perfect

Edit: Audiobook was great. The narrators did a good job doing the opposite gender.

Loved it!
I loved seeing a FMC with gumption and give the MMC some of his own attitude back.
And the supporting cast was just as great. Gavin was a hoot!

“I’ve only ever felt like myself, with intense peace and contentment, in the walls of Chase Marshall’s home. I’ve never been drawn to a place like I am in Chase’s arms.”

This audiobook was so stinkin' cute! Adriana Locke is the queen of quirky & awkward meet-cutes; Chase and Megan's first encounter made me chuckle and warmed my heart. More Than I Could was a fun, heartfelt, tear-jerker romance. The nanny and the single dad is one of my favorite tropes and Adriana made it fresh, sweet, and spicy. Having read a variety of Adriana’s titles, here’s what I was expecting: a heartwarming, layered, and sassy rom-com. What I wasn’t expecting: Chase’s dirty mouth. I mean, I’ve read some of her dirty-talking heroes, but I was not prepared for the grumpy, standoffish, buttoned-up single dad to turn the heat up so high and I loved every second. Chase is a hard-working, big-hearted loner who devotes his life to raising his wonderful daughter and is uninterested in romance. There are fewer ancillary characters I love more than small-town meddling mothers. Chase and Megan’s moms are lovely and such delightful and strong role models. Chase’s siblings are cheeky and add levity and charm to the story. From the moment they met, there was something special about Megan’s rapport with Chase’s daughter, Kennedy. Megan’s ability to relate to Kennedy and bring a new perspective to her issues at school made my heart melt. I enjoyed this love story from start to finish and could not stop smiling at the end.

Maxine Mitchell and Tor Thom brought More Than I Could off the page with fun, quirky, and emotionally raw performances. Maxine is brilliant at delivering Adriana’s blend of lighthearted and emotional romcoms. Her portrayal of the easygoing, yet mama bear-fierce Megan was enchanting. Tor Thom was perfect as the lone wolf with a cinnamon roll center, Chase. Maxine and Tor were perfectly matched as these dynamic, well-rounded, captivating characters. Their side character choices were fantastic. If you’re looking for a low-angst small-town romance with a refreshing take on the nanny and the single dad trope, More Than I Could should be your next read!

Chase and Megan

Such a good read. Chase needs someone to watch his daughter for a month and Megan is that person. Sparks fly immediately and they find it very difficult not to act on their feelings. They soon give in and swoon. The banter and the chemistry is great between these two. Good read. Look forward to more.
