Neverseen

Not many books can make 670 pages fly by but Neverseen was an exception. It honestly flew by and I loved it! I know I've said it before but these books bring about such a wholesome feeling for me and I am yet to be disappointed by a book in this series! I love the way the author structures her books. She is able to insert such great philosophical wisdom (for example, I loved the discussion on human lifespan found on pg. 376) in a story which revolves around elves with magic powers. How cool is that?
Spoiler I totally called Keefe joining the Neverseen. I'm not happy about it, I just knew it would have to come to it eventually. Alvar's betrayal did take me by surprise though and I'm interested to see how that dynamic affects their family in the next book!
I was not aware of the fact that Dex and Sophie are cousins by adoption until this book, it was probably mentioned before I just forgot, but that was an interesting twist. Hopefully no romance arises between them though because with the family connection that would be a bit strange. You know I already have book 5 on reserve at the library and will be counting down the days until it comes in! Happy Reading :)

One moment someone is getting their fingernails frozen off and the next moment you're meeting a two-legged poodle named Coiffe. Middlegrade is wild.

The series has been so good so far, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

I really enjoyed this one (4th reread). It’s so interesting to see Sophie and her friends live with the Black Swan, demand action, and unveil more secrets than we’ve ever seen before. I think this book really emphasized the main characters’ drive to do something and make change. I love Calla, and her entire character arc is incredibly beautiful.

Just reread. I thoroughly enjoyed this book the plot twists were insane and calla was definitely the heart of the book I loved her so much and also loved the new characters as well. The cliff hanger was too much but I have book 5.
