I’ve read this a while ago, so I’ve honestly forgotten some small details but thankfully not the very important details lol. Despite this, my review won’t be the best 💔 I need to start writing the review right away 😭

Anyways, I did enjoy reading this. I was excited to start this bc this is a Peter Pan retelling, and it’s always fun to see how the authors twist little things to make it fit into their storyline. While this is marketed as a dark romance, I don’t think it was as dark as I believed it would be. There were a a bit of cringe moments that had me having to look a way for a while though lol.

The general storyline was interesting, reading how Nerverland was dying and how The Lost Boys and Peter left. Why Peter Pan lost his memories of Neverland, it was all very interesting. Some things I will complain about it how much sex there was to compared to the actual plot + how everything was solved/fixed into a happily ever after. I won’t say I disliked the ending, but the way they resolved the conflict was a bit of a let down? I’m not sure, I’ll most likely reread it to see what I think of it again.

Check your Trigger Warnings first. This book is enemies to lovers and MM

This book is a more modern retelling of the story most of us know of Peter Pan, with a twist. A really great twist. Peter Pan does something no one ever thought he would, leaves Neverland and grows up. Of course, Hook eventually comes looking for him. Now I won't say much more than that to not give away spoilers but this story grabs and holds on. Always keeping your attention and makes you feel for them both. I could not put it down.

This is everything I never knew I needed. While I don't personally consider it dark others might.

If you are a fan of fairytale retellings you absolutely MUST read this!!!
