It *is* a perfectly good book. But, the more I read, the more I started... looking for alternative ways of implementing the author's methods. So, in the end, I found a book that worked better for us.

Zak George really has the best perspective on dog training! It's refreshing to hear training tactics grounded in love and respect. That start with building a strong bond with your dog and focus on the communication being built through that bond via positive reinforcement. This is like the dog version of how I try to parent!

I have been considering adopting a puppy and read this book as part of my research to decide if it would be a good choice for me. Though I still don’t know what my plan is, I really liked Zak George’s positive reinforcement techniques and thorough explanations, and would recommend this book and his YouTube channel to those wanting to learn about dog training.
