This book is a prime example of the Sexy Lamp Test. Replace the absolutely useless twig that is Mare the horse girl with a sexy lamp and the plot does not change. She does nothing for the first 75% of the book and then spends the remaining 25% recovering from the first 75%. 

The most infuriating sentences I read back to back in this book:

"I MUST ESCAPE.

Two long months pass."

Tbh this is trashy and fun and engaging I have no more thoughts than I'm powering through audiobooks so I can finally finish this series 😭

I will never be able to emotionally recover from the most cursed piece of world building I've ever read with my own eyes! IM STILL NOT OVER HOW SILENT STONE MAKING IS JUST CASUALLY DROPPED.

Completely amaze but I think that I was expecting and looking for more. Annoyed by the main character more and in my opinion, i think that or should I say that I am expecting Mare to be more responsible and brainy and less stupid.

I really enjoyed this book, i took longer to read it; because honestly I didn't want to finish it... now that I have, I'm excited for the next one...

Personally. I cried at the ending... it was one of those moments, that some of us have gone through.. differently, but the same..

Beginning drags a little but I understand why. The ending - how could you Victoria Aveyard?!
