Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
This book made me want to simultaneously cry my eyes out and laugh my head off. Xander was the swooniest of swoony hotshot firemen. He fell so hard for his girl and her kiddos and I loved seeing every second of it unfold. Xander is wholly committed to his career as a wildlands firefighter, but he’s had a crush on his best friend’s sister for years, except she’s been married to her high school sweetheart. She recently became widowed shortly after getting pregnant with their third child, so her brother moved her closer to him so he can be close by to help. Moving next door to her brothers hot older firefighter best friend and boss, she didn’t anticipate him to be the one to deliver her baby in an emergency home birth, but he did and he’s been there to help and fall in love with all three of her kids ever since. And they love him just as hard back.
Vanessa and Aiden did such an incredible job with this narration. They both were the perfect casting for Xander and Teddy. Aiden has that deep, gravely, gritty voice perfect for a domineering firefighter superintendent. And Vanessa has the sweet yet vulnerable voice of a single/widowed mom of 3 grieving her first love while also falling in love with her future love.
