It's no secret how in love I have been with this series but the 3rd book? Holy shit, I'm pretty sure it's altered my brain chemistry. Reading about Xander in the little snippets of the previous book did not prepare me for how much I'd love him. Bravo, @author_daniellebaker , bravo.

Whats Inside:
-single mom x brothers best friend
-love after loss
-he falls first
-curvy FMC
-age gap
-close proximity

CW/TW:
-mentions of parental death
-mentions spousal death
-PTSD/anxiety
-emergency home birth

Honor is the final in the Sky Ridge Hotshots series and it was a great way to end the series. Just like the first 2 books, I loved the FMC and MMC.

Xander has loved Teddy for years but never said anything because she was happily married. When her husband dies in an accident, she is left raising 3 kids on her own. The pain she endures, causes her to stir clear of any future relationships, and prevent her and her children from the pain of loving and losing again. Xander has seen what his dangerous career can do to families and never wanted to subject someone he loves to that. The heart wants what it wants and these two can't seem to fight their attraction to one another.

The whole series was great and Honor was the perfect way to end the series. I loved the ending of this book!

This was my first book by Danielle Baker and I am excited to read more from her in the future.

literally THE BEST book with the single mom trope that i have EVER read. altered my fvcking brain chemistry no lie. he calls her “mama”, loves all her kids like they’re his own, and DELIVERED her last child during an emergency home birth?? Xander is a god and no one can convince me otherwise

While I enjoyed the story itself, I was left disappointed by the writing. The first two books in this series were fantastic, but the writing in this book was repetitive and overly wordy.

Also, the ending twist was a bit wah-wah.

It was nice to see all characters from previous books in this one.
fast-paced

The ‘mama’ of it all was repulsive
