It was a good reading experience. And I just watched a podcast about grieving. So in line with this book theme. That's why while many reviews said Teddy's grieving time seemed so short, for me, it was good enough time for grieving based on the theory of it. There was no right time about how long or how short we grief. If you understand Bahasa Indonesia and interest to watch said podcast, here's the link, https://youtu.be/ARaGmXv-qHA?si=kaRAVFQ_FJIp2Wiq or just go to Raditya Dika youtube channel and look for Panduan Melalui Duka.
I loved Teddy. She was so strong. She deserved her happy ending with Xander. While Xander was not a perfectly written hero, yet I understood why he said and acted like that. I just wish there were more moments of Xander and Teddy's kids, especially Dalton. The epilogue made me cry in happiness.

SUMMARY:
Being a career hotshot, a wildland firefighter, is all Xander Macomb had ever known. It's his greatest passion. This job is dangerous, and after watching his parents' marriage fail because of it, he knew long ago he'd never be a relationship kinda guy. All of that changes when his best friend moves his recently widowed, and pregnant, younger sister and her two kids in next door. Xander has been crazy about Teddy Hensen for years. So when he happens to assist in an unexpected emergency home birth for her new baby, he finds himself spending more and more time near her and her kids. Teddy's heart is locked up like Fort Knox after losing her husband, and breaking down her defenses is damn near impossible...but Xander wants to show her that he's here to stay. For all of them. As superintendent, his duty to his crew has always been his priority. But with Teddy's heart on the line, can Xander give up the only life he's ever known? Or is he doomed to be honor bound and lose the only woman he's ever loved?
REVIEW:
Honor is the third and final book in the Sky Ridge Hotshots trilogy and my first book by Danielle Baker. This contemporary romance is the story of Xander Macomb the Superintendent of the Sky Ridge Hotshots team and has been in love with his best friends sister for years even though she had been married at the time. Teddy Hensen has moved to Sky Ridge after she lost her husband to a tragic accident that she had been the dispatcher for.It was an intense and emotional moment when Dalton came to get Xander to have him help his mother when Teddy's water broke with Xander immediately helping her to safely deliver her baby while waiting for the ambulance. It wasn't until Xander had helped Teddy with the birth of her third child that she had at home when her water broke unexpectedly that things had started changing between them. When Xander told Teddy that he didn't want to ever hear her talk down about herself because he though she is perfect the way she is was the moment things started to change between them.
The small moments alone between Xander and Teddy were special for them both especially when he calls her "Mama" as it makes her flush with sexual emotions. Xander and Teddy start to spend time together as the are next door neighbors which starts their journey to falling in love with each other when Xander always lovingly helps Teddy with her kids and just being there for her whenever she needs him. The moment that Xander had the accident while on the job was very intense for Teddy as she was the dispatcher that took the call to send the ambulance to pick him up which brought back the horrible experience from her husband's accident. Xander and Teddy each work through their past trauma that helps them to finally live out their love for each other. Danielle Baker has delivered a spicy page-turning romance that I enjoyed devouring every page with the exciting news of a Macomb Brothers series.

The amount of times this man called her "mama" gave me the ick so bad, but she liked it so we're pretending it wasn't that big of a deal.

Xander and Teddy
Last book in the series and let me tell you they ended this series with a bang with all the emotions. Xander is a career hotshot and is the superintendent to his crew taking over his dads’ legacy. Teddy is now a single mom who just lost her husband. She moves to where her brother lives who happens to be on Xander’s team and his best friend. Xander has always liked Teddy but knew she was a married woman.
Xander and Teddy become neighbors when she moves into town. Xander just happens to be there when something always happens. He is slowly breaking down Teddy’s walls to make sure she knows he is there and is not leaving. Teddy is trying keep her distance from her hot neighbor that she is drawn too. She struggles due to her husband’s death and trying to figure out her new life with out him. The chemistry between them is push and pull due the situation they are in. The emotional build up with grief and moving on for both of them is written very well.
Xander any time he used word the MAMA, omg swoon. I was obsessed and so was Teddy
Tropes: brothers best friend, age gap, neighbors, single mom, close proximity, love after loss, he falls first
