Slow slow burn!!! If you love that angsty push and pull this is the book for you. The spice was delicious when we got there, but you had to put in the time.

Xander Macomb is a wildland firefighter married to hig life's work. Teddy Hansen is a grieving widow, pregnant with her third child who's just moved in next door. Also, Xander has loved Teddy from afar forever, even though he respected her marriage. Oh, and Xander happens to be Teddy's brother's best friend and boss. It's just a smidge complicated.

This was a slow burn that paid off in spades. This Hotshot didn't stand a chance when his dream gal was finally available. The way he was with her kids was ridiculously sweet. Who knew I'd love it when he called her Mama? Sheesh.

If you'd like plentiful hand necklaces, some light breath play, some angst, and a dash of breastfeeding kink, you'll enjoy this one!

I really enjoyed this final installment in the Sky Ridge Hotshots series. I loved watching how Xander fit in with Teddy's family and both of their personal journeys to becoming ready to commit to one another.
I found the pace a little slower than the previous two books however. I also found Teddy's fixation on her body flaws a bit exhausting at times, especially with how often Xander and others were pointing out how beautiful she was.
Lastly, it was nice to see one of the hotshots choosing family over his career which just endeared me to Xander even more.

Overall, I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a steamy small town romance with a lot of heart, mental health representation and the theme of finding love after loss.
