There isn't enough praise I can give this book. Louise Penny's writing is one of the best I've read, and I can't wait to read more. If anyone ever says you can read these books out of sequence, smack them in the face. You cannot. There's too much character development. This book in particular pulled at all my heartstrings. I love it so much ❤️.

i gasped several times. the beginning is somehow both slow and has kind of a lot going on but all the setup was worth it.

The book started out a little slow, and I was wondering if I wanted to continue. I’m so glad I did! There were so many unexpected events that it really kept me totally engrossed! You could not help but fall in love with the different characters. Penny made them so vulnerable and likable. Well worth the read. I’m glad I did.
