Absolutely loved this book! I laughed at many points, even as an adult. The Fair Fairy was an especially humorous character for me—like a kids’ version of Jerry Springer! Cat Kid is easily my favorite character. I love the message he sends about how kindness beats evil.

Decided to read because my kiddo loves Dog Man. Pleasantly surprised to see that there are some good lessons on friendship, integrity, and standing up for what is right.

Read this for one of my students so we could discuss it during our zoom meeting.

My first Dog Man book. My grandson D. loves these books, and this one is his favorite. It was his selection for our Cousin Book Club, and I think it will lead to some good discussion. It brought up topics such as fairness, doing the right thing, forgiveness, working together, and good vs. evil.

I don't think this book borrowed very much from Catch-22, which is bad news for my Dog Man book club.

Anyway, the book is great. Petey's character development continues! Flippy gets a redemption arc! Great depiction of positive co-parenting! There's so much to love in this entire series, and I wish more of my library's parent population would pay attention while reading it with their kids rather than just dismissing Dog Man as crass and boorish. Dog Man's readers came for the poop jokes and stayed for the gentle lessons on morality and kindness.
