I love Anna. I loved Lola. What is wrong with isla?? Least favorite book.

Really enjoyed this book despite what felt to me like an engineered problem between the two young lovers and a slightly forced reunion at the very end between the tangentially connected lovers of the other books in this series. Also, it's not in the cards for everyone to find and unite with their perfect soul mates by the age of eighteen, which appears to be what happens every time in the Stephanie Perkins universe. What IS so remarkable about Perkins is, she writes really well about happy love affairs. That's even more unusual than a good happy love song, and God knows those are rare enough. Her books are not sappy, not too predictable, and they keep being interesting even after the characters fall in love. The writing is nice though it will never set the world on fire. But sometimes you just get sick of your young lovers having to walk around with oxygen cannulas in their noses, you know? (No offense, John Green.) This is pure escapism for an adult reader and much sweet, quirky fun,

I was predisposed to dislike this as I hate short, cute red headed protags, but Isla - despite her annoying name - won me over. The books is very sweet, a little sexy, and often funny. Possibly my favorite of the 3 - I loved Josh in Anna so am very happy he was as wonderful in this :)

I could not make it past 30…did not realize that this was part of a series…and I don’t read books in which the characters sound ditzy and immature.

"Thanks to Josh, I am taking risks. I've learned that if I never leave those areas of my life that feel comfortable, I'll never have a chance at a greater happiness."

I had read Anna and the French Kiss before and thought it was just good. I honestly didn’t understand the hype; I wasn’t crazy over it or anything. So I thought, Hey! Maybe the sequel wouldn’t be any different. I had lived a very peaceful life for four years and then Isla and the Happily Ever After came along. Everyone was literally raving about it. There are so many five stars, standing ovation and applause. I was swept off my feet by the hype and here I am happier than ever.

Isla and the Happily Ever After is probably my favorite installment in this series. The plot flowed smoothly. I was quickly sucked into the story line. The love story might be classified as instalove but that didn’t stop me from shipping the pairing and admiring this book so much. What set Josh and Isla apart from Perkin’s previous couples was how we actually got the privilege to experienced how they are in a relationship. It was exhilarating. They’re so entertaining to read, their banter, their apparent palpable chemistry. In no time I was whipped. The drama and angst was just right. There was depth to the story and the characters.

I spent a good 40 minutes crying while reading ISLA. I always appreciate a book that includes how tough it is trying to find something you want to do for the rest of your life and that it’s also okay to be undecided right now. I also admire Isla for her sense of attitude when it comes to sex. It’s not a norm for a Young Adult – Realistic Fiction, Contemporary books to be bold when it comes to this topic. It’s refreshing to read a story that explores the heroine’s sexuality. Perkins wrote such a complex and imperfect bunch of characters that are truly easy to empathize with and love.

I swallowed Isla and the Happily Ever After, I’m so full with much love and joy. This is certainly the sweetest and most heartfelt book Perkins has written to date.

I loved this book. I found that Isla was very relatable as well as her thoughts and feelings and some of the morals tied into the story; and I loved Josh the best out of all three guys in this series; his whole personality and humour and creativity and sweetness really charmed me.

I understood the feelings and sometimes misguided actions of being in love and although there were maybe one or two times in the story where I felt like Isla and Josh should've given their actions or reactions more thought, I still rooted for them all the way. And plus their faulty reactions were acknowledged and learned from in the end thankfully. I loved their love story and romance and that head over heels kind of love and passion that they both had for each other. It was exhilarating and beautiful. The kind of romance and love I wish to have someday.

Stephanie Perkins has the ability to captivate me every time. Her novels are the definition of "feel good." Love it!

This absolutely amazing book series had an absolutely amazing ending. I am going to miss Stephanie Perkins great sense of humor in her writing and I'm going to miss her beautifully crafted characters. But now I say goodbye to Anna and Etienne and Lola and Cricket and Isla and Josh with a smile on my mouth.
