I think it's my favorite book in this companion series/trilogy. It made me tear up . :)

Its 2AM and I'm shock and sad and happy bc its the last book and for this end.

Sephenie Perkin's books read a lot like postcards from exotic and terribly romantic places and always make me feel giddy feels of being on a grand adventure. I have loved her previous two book and their quirky characters set against the backdrop of beautiful France. But something about this book just didn't click with me. Maybe it was the characters that seemed a little too typical YA: tragic broody/moody misunderstood artist and little pixie dust and insta love. or maybe the conflict just seemed terribly juvenile and the emotions that felt thrown completely out of proportion and exaggerated I'm typical teenage angsty romance books. or maybe I have just grown up a little too much to be reading this. Either way, I had waiting 3 years for a book that sadly did not silver the excitement and trill at final being able to read it, nor did it leave behind any sort of satisfaction now that I'm done.

enjoyed reading about Isla and glad that Josh got a good happy ending. The drama in the other books made me sad for Josh, especially how anna noticed he was behaving. Im upset at the conflict in the middle of the book and found it unnecessary.
Both of them were overreacting in my opinion but at the same i think that was the point. Their love was too strong and perfect that they both had to find something wrong with their relationship, they are used to something being wrong. It takes a while to accept each other but at the end they get support and happy ever after.

Isla's relationship with Kurt and Hattie reminded me of how I am with my friends and my own sister. I'm always being more protective than need be and like Isla i got used to that being my role and sole duty in our friendships.
i'm happy she worked out both of those relationships and was able to get help for herself from both of them.
lighthearted slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

a bit meh but love the characters though... Isla and Josh are such a cute and cool couple.

Mixed emotions right now! I am glad that I finally read all the books in the series and feel sad as well because it is over. This book is definitely one of my favorite books.

So, this amazing book is about Isla who is smart, top of their class and always does things on the safe side. She lacks confidence on herself and is satisfied with her life as it is and is scared to take risks.

And Josh, on the other hand is the opposite. He chooses to not care about things around him and breaks the rule often. He is adventurous and is brave to take risks.

These two opposite characters when bind together bring a very interesting and worth reading story.

Though the book is about teen romance, it didn’t fail to showcase profound life lessons. Isla represents most of us out there. Majority prefers to do things that are in their comfort zone and same people are still dreaming and hoping to do other things. But why dream, if you can go out there and do it?

In reading this book, readers will go with the transformation of the characters. Their transformation is definitely not easy and it broke my heart. There are fluctuating feels in the book and the plot is so impressive that I felt that I am not just reading a book.

The story will make you realize that there is more to life. Believe in yourself and in what you can do.

A highly recommended book to contemporary readers. :)

The one thing I can say about Stephanie Perkins is that she writes the most lovable characters. They are all very unique and their stories are far from perfect. They make mistakes along the way, but they become better people because of what they learn on their journey. While I always appreciate a Happily Ever After, it has a greater impact when it doesn't come handed to you on a silver platter. This is a brilliant series that I consider a MUST read for any young adult fan.

This was a great conclusion to this companion trilogy. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book, despite having heard mainly negative things about it when compared to the other two. First of all, I love that so much of this book takes place in Paris. I had just assumed that, based on the cover, it would mostly take place in New York. But i’m glad it didn’t because the Parisian setting was the main thing I loved about Anna and the French Kiss. As far as characters are concerned, I think I related to Isla most of all the female protagonists in this series. Josh also seems like a pretty great guy, but then all the male protagonists in these books fit the ideal. It’s also great that there’s a scene with all of the characters from the previous books to tie things together. I also enjoyed actually getting to see the relationship aspect and not just the angsty courting that happened in the other books. But this story falls into that typical rom-com storyline, thus making it fairly predictable.

I really enjoyed reading Isla and the Happily Ever After. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. There was a little part in the middle where I thought Isla sounded very young and annoying. But the end was sweet and lovely!

This novel was a perfect ending to this series. While the couples in the previous two had a "slow burn" story, Isla and Josh began quickly. This was a nice change of pace, but I was so concerned the entire time that something terrible was going to happen that I couldn't fully enjoy it. I loved how this novel went back to the original location, the American School of Paris, but felt completely different. I loved how Anna and St. Clair/Lola and Cricket were included in this novel, and I'm really happy with all of their endings. I highly recommend this series, I thought it was beautifully written.
