I'm very pleased that I'm making sure to read more YA contemporary books, they are so much better than they ever were in the past. Typically these types of books are stand alones, not series. The beautiful part about this series is that each one is about a new set of main characters but still integrates the characters from the other books.
Isla and the Happily Ever After is by far my favorite. I loved all three books but I'm able to relate to Isla much more than Anna or Lola. Isla's largest personality flaw is the exact same one I've always struggled with, the feeling that you are not worthy of love. Which for me is so ironic considering the meaning of my name is "worthy of love". Just like Isla, the second I truly opened up to someone loving me it changed my life.

I did not like this quiet as much as Anna but still more than Lola(although I LOVED that one as well)
but basically...I LOVED THIS BOOK SO INCREDIBLE MUCH I CAN'T EVEN...I'm literally crying right now because 1)the ending was so perfect and 2)this series is over

I cannot express how much I love Stephanie Perkins. Her writing is so relatable and real. She always manages to get me out of the slump. And Isla is no different.
Updated review post-reread on 12/10/19: Don't tell Anna and Étienne, but Isla and Josh will forever be my favorites. Everytime I read this book, I feel positively gutted and hopeful and as if I'm the one in love. It's MAGIC.
WORTH. THE. WAIT. Every SECOND of it!
I devoured the ebook throughout the day and I'm now anxiously awaiting the physical copy's arrival so I can re-read it and relive it yet again!
I'll have to wait until the physical copy gets here to be sure, but I genuinely do believe that Isla easily tops Anna and The French Kiss as my favorite in the series now! I'm not sure whether it's because in many ways, I have been (and still am) Isla, or of it's because Josh is ridiculously passionate and the exact type of guy a girl like myself wants (although, really, aren't they all?), or if it was just because their relationship was like fireworks exploding across every single page. I personally never thought that Étienne could be topped in my heart, but seeing Josh from a different pair of eyes was wonderful, and I'm forever grateful for Stephanie writing what she saw in him that we couldn't see before!
Also, Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket's appearances in the story brought my heart such pure glee! Isla and the Happily Ever After was delicious and incredibly hard - a.k.a. nearly IMPOSSIBLE - to put down for a second! I can always count on these glorious love stories, and for that I thank Stephanie Perkins infinitely. This is by far one of the best series I've stumbled across in my life, and I'm eternally glad I found it. Definitely pick up Isla and the Happily Ever After at your local bookstore ASAP, because you do not want to miss out on this!

I love it. the prefect conclusion to a great trilogy(well, not really a trilogy, but companion trilogy) and characters that stole our hearts from the beginning on every novel.
My favourite yet! Sigh, Josh was perfect, seriously where can I get one? I have to admit Lola was a bit of a let down for me so I was skeptical going into Isla but I'm so happy I read it! Stephanie Perkins just creates the perfect love that we all want, whether you'll admit it or not.
This was so beautiful and cute, so enjoyable and well written.
