Somehow, I was reading a book and listening to a book that both featured a character named Sophie who works in HR. The CONFUSION.
The other Sophie is more entertaining (...I think? Which Sophie is one again?). Very basic book. Very predictable. Bland characters. Meh writing. But I was in the mood for it, and it mostly did its job (variety from the murdery book trend--fiction and non--I've found myself in), so it gets 2.25 stars.

PHEW OKAY i was low key scared the thing about max's ex being super rushed, but it ended up being fine.
HOWEVER, it ended up being so pushed to the side that i felt like it should've been a bigger deal than it actually was just because the book's summary MAKES it out to be a bigger deal than it is in the book. either that or the summary needs to change a bit to provide a more... accurate description of what we should expect from it, if that makes sense?
