Dammit. I liked the characters and the world set up. But, it read so badly like a high school creative writing project, I couldn’t make it past 11%

I was afaid I would not like the insta attraction but boy oh boy... did I absolutely love it!
I normally shy away from insta love but here it somehow made sense.
The smut was just amazing and cute and tender but also fierce and kinky. Cannot wait for the next one!

I’m not sure how these FIVE guys had time or energy to do anything after all the fucking they do! Which is quality on page steam. Cecil and his beverages must have magic go juice in them.
I don’t want to deal with all the angsty stuff that is coming and I appreciated how it was keep heavy but small in this book. I hope that continues.
I have to say, reading these in the author suggested order, makes it a little cringe to go from 10 year old Henry to -daddy kink & getting plowed by four guys- Henry. But I overcame while they came.

I find the concept of the story intriguing but I was disappointed with the amount of smut described: simply too much, the plot is poor of details, it feels rushed to leave space to the endless pages of pure smut. The characters are interesting but there isn’t much space for character’s insights or any personality development.

This book in one sentence: Sawyer's life is simple, he has a crush on his neighbor and is finishing his degree, but when three mysterious fellows move across the street, Sawyer suddenly finds himself in a brand news paranormal world he never knew existed and everything has changed.
My rating: ⭐⭐
Steaminess: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
My recommendation:This book had a lot of potential, the premise itself is interested. But the porn-to-plot ratio is way off. It's like 70% sex scenes. There is no romantic build-up between the characters, they're just all suddenly in love and in bed with each other. I really think it could have benefitted from a little more character develop and universe building, but the set-up is compelling enough that I'll give the next book in the series a try.
Tropes: chosen one, fated mates, instalove

i really enjoy the start of this poly/harem romance, which I am a fan of, and the audio gave it extra life

it's a classic newbie into the world, which is how we learn about it, along with the 'chosen one' troupe if done slightly different but i overall enjoy the way the romance between the five main characters get started even if it is a insta-love.

this series is best read in the Chosen Universe order. there comes a time later in the series where others come into play and i'd hate for you to be spoiled about other great books in the series
