While I still enjoy these books, it's annoying that the plot at this point always centers around Mia being super stressed about something with Michael that she won't discuss with him until the book is almost over. I don't like when conflict can be entirely solved by having two characters discuss something 200 pages ago. I did like the student president race though.

Lilly es el ser más insoportable de la vida y una de las peores amigas de las que he leído, literalmente no tiene ni un solo punto a favor.
This was one of the more entertaining of the series. I enjoyed it.
Man, some gender stuff in this book did NOT age well. All that fuss about whether "Perrin" is a boy or a girl? This wouldn't have been written in 2020. I think Meg Cabot portrays Mia and her closest friends as fairly acccepting and liberal, but this and the whole "take off your pants" joke just completely missed the mark.
Mia freaks out about the fact that her boyfriend may be expecting to have sex with her, and then freaks out some more when he says that yes, at some point, he wants to have sex. Both of them could have handled that a little better, but, well, they are clueless teenagers.
Lilly Moscowitz really is a sucky best friend. Second book in a row where I can't help but think, Mia would be much better off without her.
Student elections were actually a nice storyline, if you skim through Mia's relentless freakouts. And the term "baby licker" (again, Lilly, you suck).
I am still waiting for the series to evolve. Six books in and I thought we would've gotten away from the same old petty high school troubles that the series started with. But Mia (despite being 15 now AND dating a freshman in college ?????? huh ???) is basically the exact same clueless person she was before she found out she was a princess. Her relationship with Michael only makes less sense as time goes on—he gets older and is still his level-headed, competent self, and Mia is a literal child who, again, is dating a COLLEGE boy yet calls sex "doing it" (at least a hundred times in the book) and is overall super immature about her relationship. For example, not recognizing or even sharing Michael's interest in getting her alone while her parents are out of town and deciding to have a sleepover with her friends instead. ?????????
I'm really confused about what age group this series is for because there's ~slightly more mature~ content in this one that isn't preteen appropriate but Mia and her friends have always acted like preteens so I thought the series was catering to that age group... I wouldn't recommend this book to preteens OR teenagers so I'm just like huh ????
But I am not either of those, so imma keep listening ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

2.5*
Rated lower because there is a large focus on Mia complaing about how she night be expected to do "it" now that Michael is in college.
