I am not a horror fan...for anyone except James Chambers. His writing is fluid and tight and downright disturbing. The tension builds and doesn't let up until the end and the way he spins a story is masterful.

If you are into horror, you don't want to miss this one!

Book Review
The Dead Bear Witness by James Chambers
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 3/5
My first thoughts within the first 5 minutes: I was excited to read something with zombies, I loved the title, and the first few lines really drew me in.
Unfortunately, those feelings faded. The Clint Eastwood vibes I got from Cornell, the main character, was a little cliche and any dialogue felt forced. The first part of the story had me dragging my feet a little and hoping it would get better. It did. The second part of the story was a little more intriguing, because Chambers really did create a unique twist when it comes to the zombies.
It was an ok read, and I’ll probably read the second book in the series just to see where the story goes. I’m just not desperate to get the second book as I have been with other series in the past.
