not my book. too many twists, too little romance.

i wasn’t a fan of fmc. she had a childish infatuation with (idk who he was to her) her mentor/friend/boss mackiel.

“He wanted the best. But that was why he had me.”

the twist with arabella was unexpected. she was a true psychopath of this book.

idk, something about the ending wasn’t clicking for me.

This book is a murder mystery "who done it" book set in a fantasy world with a bit romance sprinkled in. It kept me guessing until the very end while drawing me into their world. The author does fantastic job of allowing you to get to know all the queens and then, ripping your heart out as each are murdered. I really hope this won't be my last visit to Quadara.
