It was the epitome of mid
Not bad but not all that
I liked the concept but the plot twists just didn’t shock me. I guessed them all long before they were revealed which sucked. A major thing for me is being blindsided during plot twists and I guess all if them so 🤷‍♀️
actually I guess I didn’t guess the whole mind control chip thingy. But I was a little unimpressed with that one I was like “oh…..okay sure” like I feel like it could’ve been a good plot twist but it wasn’t written in a good enough way to be even mildly shocking

Also romance wasn’t all that. I was excited for it but it was mid so I was pretty disappointed
I liked what she did with the switching povs and the timeline tho. The queens pov were really boring at first but then when they started dropping info and tea I got a little intrigued

One of those popular, well-reviewed books where I feel like I must be missing something. An interesting story let down by the writing.

Fun little fantasy whodunnit,  Quandra gives off classic fantasy map vibes with its districts (Hunger games/ Avatar the last air bender) can’t say I was super surprised with who the culprit was, but there were some other twists that were pretty good. Overall, nice little read.

This book was so damn good!!!
Some little things had me frowned but in general it was really good.
First I am so happy that it is a standalone! I'm so happy I don't have to wait way too long on a tragic ending.
Then, the author's writing was super cool. I love how she tells us the story, and I was surprised more than once!
Oh and having a protagonist who'se far away from being perfect was super refreshing!!!
So yeah, a really good read!

This book was so good and the twist was so well done. I can usually guess a twist before it happens but I was not able to with this. The resolution was kind of boring, however contained what I always wish for at the end of other books.

For some reason I thought this was fantasy, but nope. Sci-fi dystopia. Basically a long time ago, the husbands of four queens died, and the queens were not thrilled with how things turned out. So they enacted the Queenly Laws, which ensured a queen could never have a relationship and was stuck inside the castle. And it worked great!...for them. Unfortunately, trapped, the queens are trapped and someone is/has/will killing/killed/kill It'sm.

Its ride,ld riI really really appreciated the twists and turns.
