Amazing book. Queer revelation and joy. Sisterhood and loyalty. Some fucked up content though. Overall loved it and cried happy tears.

Assolutamente meraviglioso, tanto staziante quanto pieno di speranza. Affronta così tante tematiche, il razzismo, il sessismo, Dio, l'amore, l'amicizia e la famiglia. E lo fa in modo diretto e schietto, a volte quasi crudo, ma questo lo rende assolutamente reale. Impossibile non affezionarsi a questi personaggi che seguiamo per tutto l'arco della loro vita, che vediamo crescere e cambiare e rafforzarsi.

An absolutely incredible story of self-growth, self-love, and understanding the world around you. Celie is such a complex character and I loved being able to follow her as she navigated adulthood. 

Celie’s reflection on who/what exactly “God” is really resonated with me. This book is my new bible. 

I wish this book was required reading.
