3.85 AVERAGE

The usual unlikeable characters and at times cringe writing, but the super atmospheric setting made up for it. I was shocked once but the rest was a bit predictable. The setting and general unsettling, eerie and mega creepy vibes made it a great book. I thought the ending was a bit sudden but overall a good read!

If I was rating purely on the twist ending, this would be a 5 star read. The writing is 4 stars, portrayal of face blindness 2 stars, and overall reading experience about 3.5 stars, so I'm settling on 4. It is a bit over the top but the twists made my gasp and I loved how meta it got in some bits so it was still a worthwhile experience. It is getting adapted into a Netflix series.

"People who don’t get to name their children get to name a different future."

Daisy Darker was the book that introduced me to Alice Feeney, I loved it so much! I just knew Rock Paper Scissors would be amazing! (also my bestie recommended it! lol)

In true Alice Feeney form, just when you think you understand what's going on...you don't! She always leaves you in suspense up until the very last sentence.
