I kept reading, so there's that. The plot is well done. The fact that people actually have the disease of prosopagnosia is so strange to me. Would be such a hard thing to live with, and so mysterious/confounding. The "twist" is pulled off well. The narrative of the "gifts" and how the author incorporates them is unique and aids the overall story and understanding of the characters.

I couldn’t get into this at all. Some parts felt boring and dragged on which made it hard to stay engaged. I also didn’t understand the ending, it made no sense to me and left me feeling more confused than anything.

3.75 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Amelia and Adam are having issues in their marriage. They win a weekend away to Scotland. The weekend starts with a drive in a snowstorm to an old chapel in the middle of nowhere. The atmosphere is fantastic- cold, gothic, and creepy. I enjoyed the short chapters and was quickly wrapped up in the story. I downgraded a partial star due to the ending, which seemed a bit anti-climatic. Overall, a great story!
