I wasn’t quite in the headspace to enjoy this as much as I wanted. It didn’t really pull me in, but I did really enjoy how everything wrapped up.

I like the general idea/world building for these books, but the mystery in this one just didn't work for me, and I don't think I care enough to continue on. Also, side note for the series in general, I think I would have liked these books better if Clem and Georgie got together tbh, and I was disappointed when I realized that's not where the author was going with them. Like Owen's fine, but *shrugs*. Sometimes the roleplaying bit took me out of the story too. I just wish I enjoyed these more because the world is fun.

This is a long read aloud book (took us over one month) but engaging and magical.

Bit of a sophomore slump, but overall an enjoyable but maybe a touch confusing.

This book had all of the good things about the first book: warm family life, great setting, and a quirky cast of characters. Where this fell behind is that it was just TOO complicated. Too many characters, too many side stories. It was all just too much.

My complaints may be a result of listening to the audio rather than reading it.
