I love love loved it! Such a great sequel. So many of the same characters and great tie-ins to the first story. This is my type of mystery. Especially enjoyed listening to it with my 10 and 8 yr old. Not every book is enjoyable for both parents and kids, but this series works for both. So many great stories within the story.

THE PLOT TWISTS!! THIS WAS AMAZING! I loved this so much because it didn’t forget about what happened earlier in the series AND the parents didn’t mysteriously disappear! I feel like some of the characters are really confusing, like Violet, but it made them seem so real and amazing. And did I mention the plot twists?

34% great to be back at Greenglass House with Milo and some old acquaintances of Georgie and Clem (the thieves) and a new mystery that brings back Milo's ghost friend. Milo now has a new alter ego to help him solve the mystery of 2 thefts and who is a dangerous criminal puppet master.
57% oh poor Emmett...crushing on Georgie (hope he's not a baddie) love how Milo/alter ego and his ghost partner in detecting are figuring out the mystery and suspects.
91% just knew Rob and Nick were not on the up and up…
5 stars. Really enjoyable being in the world of smugglers and thieves and custom agents at Greenglass House during the winter holidays. Milo uncovering secrets and familial secrets was entertaining and beautiful. I liked the twists at the end; no one really who they seem to be...I love that Emmett was an undercover customs agent but a good one not a deputized one like the villain from the first one. Fantastic cozy mystery telling at it’s finest!

This was one of the best (if not the best) sequel to a book I’ve ever read. I could argue the first works perfectly as a stand alone, but the sequel adds to the story and ties up loose ends all while maintaining the same magic and whimsy of the first novel. I love how Milford writes her mysteries and reveals, it’s so captivating. I highly recommend this series to anyone (any age) who wants a good time, a good mystery, and a good story.

This was good, but the first one is my favorite of the two.
