A great take on polycule and BDSM

Ok what even was that plot? Don’t get me wrong the smut is 10/10 but the story was not making sense and taking forever to get to the climax idk the first ones storyline was better
emotional hopeful inspiring medium-paced

After reading both parts of this duo, I feel like it could have been one book. The spice over all was good but for what little plot was happening these could have been condensed for sure.

So The Losers Duet sits safely at the top of my "Top Reads of 2024" and although it is early in the year I have the feeling it will stay there for a long time.
It's been a while since a book - books in this instance - drew me in the way these did.

I stumbled across The Dare and enjoyed it, was curious when I discovered there are full books with these characters. Since then, I have read the books twice and listened to the audio book all within one month.

I fell in love with all the characters and I applaud Harley Laroux to write five compelling characters. While I may love Manson a tad bit more, there is no POV I did not thoroughly enjoy reading and learning about their pasts. Jessica's development from her high school days to the end of Losers II is a beautifully written journey that includes struggles and insecurities about allowing herself to be who she really is.

The Losers Duet deals with darker sexual themes such as BDSM, knife play, CNC but it is done so freaking well. It is by far the best CNC depiction I have read because these people actually discuss boundaries (and respect those!), safe words and check in on their partners. Because of this, I wouldn't even classify the books as 'dark romance' but a very good and healthy depiction of a poly relationship. Honestly, these five people have a healthier, less toxic relationship than many 'standard' F/M couples depicted in romance stories.

Conclusion: While this is incredibly spicy and hot it is very wholesome and sweet at the same time.
