If you read The Dare, you already know the vibesssss.
Now just multiply that by over 1000 pages. (Losers I and II).

The story has so much character development, not a ton of action but it's about the growth of the characters. I definitely cried reading this. Everyone has so much trauma and they're working it all out. They've all had some rough experiences with Jess and now she's working to repair it. I loved the dynamic of the whole group and how I never felt like people were left out. She has tender moments with each of them and they have tender moments with each other. I'm also a cry baby...

But let me tell you the sheer amount of smut in here actually surprised me. There was a ton of it, and it was delicious. I'll bless you right now and let you know that there is indeed MM action. But please for the love of God read the trigger warnings because that list is damn long. You already know Harley Laroux books aren't for the faint of heart.

IF YOU GET IT, YOU GET IT.

“We’re degenerates, Jess.” “Losers,” said Lucas. Manson smiled. “Freaks.”

I hate to say this but it was too long and not angsty enough for me. By the end of book one they were all practically together and so the drama/plot focused more so on the opinions of their surrounding peers and conflict with Manson's dad and Jess's mom. It wasn't riveting enough and I found myself tuning out (I was listening to the audiobook). I also don't think the spicy scenes were as fun as they were in part one.

“We’d fought for our love. Fought with ourselves, with each other, with those who wanted our love to not even exist. But this was our victory. This was our forever.”
