Three people. Locked up in a room(which is Hell with nothing to torture them except each other company) after death.

This play has touched upon one of the aspect of existentialism i.e. being self-reflective in a social space. Sartre implied we loose our individuality or more precisely become conscious on the lines of what society defines us as.

Indeed an interesting premise and a deep inference.

Superbly creative depiction of what Hell could be. The plot progresses at a steady pace with each character revealing their true nature one after the other. Especially loved how nobody is able to step out of the door even when they manage to get it open. Just goes to show how the three characters were perfectly chosen to spend eternity together - ensuring a slow and painful descent into madness.

Hell really is other people.

An excellent ending!
"Well then, let's get on with it..."

“Anything, anything would be better than this agony of mind, this creeping pain that gnaws and fumbles and caresses one and never hurts quite enough.”

"Hell is other people", I loved Sartre's interpretation of hell, this book was really interesting and thought provoking,, Inez, Estelle and Garcin surely are each others hell, they all belong to hell for a reason (we can even say they're part of it), they're manipulative and know how to manhandle each other, they know how to detect each others weaknesses so they feed into that endless cycle of torture. Also they

Hat sehr zum Nachdenken angeregt. Die Philosophie dahinter ist sehr interessant.

Dank einer Person wollte ich mehr über den Existenzialismus erfahren und ich finde existenzialistische Bücher sehr real irgendwie. I like
