‘Hell is—other people!’

What a strange book. I read this without knowing anything about it. Like some of my other favourite books, nothing happens in it, yet it’s fascinating the way the characters slowly divulge their lives and the way their consciousnesses are torn between the room and the real world. It is definitely a book that looks at power, and at how we define (or condemn) ourselves.

SOOOO GOOD the writing was amazing and such an interesting concept and well developed plot

I read this play in high school, and I wanted to read it again because it was so memorable. It was so creative to think that hell can be a room with the people that annoy you most. And you don't really understand their punishment at first until you get to know the characters. And then it becomes most obvious that hell is in fact, other people.
