It’s written very well, lots of metaphors and foreshadowing. the only reason why its 3 stars for me is just because its not my type of book, I found it a little dull.

Steinbeck never disappoints. My heart was either pounding or breaking at every new page. Another disturbing, beautiful and insightful tale focused on working-class characters. It is not an easy read, precisely for its themes, but it is absolutely worth the effort.
