FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE AUTHOR. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I was not impressed by Angela in the previous book in the series, so when I learned that she was the focus of the final book, I was very wary about reading it. While it followed the same format as previous DiCarlo stories, this one was a little different.

Alex and Angela didn't hit it off when they first started out, but things changed over the course of the book and Alex grew to appreciate what Angela had to offer. I especially liked how Angela had matured over the course of the book, but Alex really dragged the book down for me, fighting himself over his feelings for Angela. I was glad to see him admit his feelings for her finally!

The suspense angle didn't have much to do with Alex or Angela, but it was very interesting to see how it was connected to them. I also liked how the book was set in Chicago instead of Juniper Ridge, as it seemed more realistic.

For me, this was a good closure to the series, but other stories in the series were better than this one.
