I loved it! James Rollins is really great at writing adventure novel with scientific elements that explains supernatural events. It gets realistic and you get even more drawn to it. I originally read it in french but I would read it again if I get my hand on an English version. A book I would recommend for people that like adventure novel with a touch of science.

I really enjoy this author--it's like Dan Brown, but more layered and elevated.

I have been fascinated by the Amazon rainforest for quite some time now. So what better than a thriller based on it to light up this bibliphile's imagination?
This book is full of facts on botany and their medicinal properties, not sure whether they're true, but interesting for sure. Also adding to this is the eerily similarities between the book and today's reality: a killer mutant virus with no cure or vaccine and an attack by a huge swarm of locusts. The book is definitely one which won't let you keep it down for longer than two minutes :D

This was so predictable and eye-rolly and I enjoyed every second of it

I was pretty excited to read this based on the description but it quickly turned into your average run of the mill thriller and soon after it devolved into a ridiculous thriller about the Amazon and disease and the military etc. etc. etc.

I have a really good ability to suspend disbelief but this one stretched it to the breaking point.

It would have to be a really long plane flight for me to recommend this to anyone.
