4 Stars!
I’m pretty confident that if you’re a Klune fan, no review is necessary to make you read one of his stories, and if you haven’t read Klune yet, what are you waiting for??
Despite a more subdued tone, this was quite some ride! While it had a lot of fun to it at times, there’s plenty of tension and dangerous situations that also kept me on edge with the actiony bits and the dramatic twists and turns, as three people with nothing in common find in each other the family and love they were either missing or had lost.
Klune delivers on a contemporary sci-fi romance (slow burn, mildly explicit) with lots of suspense, comedy, gravitas, and most important of all, heart! Read.

This was my second Klune book and I think I can safely say that I enjoy his writing style and humor. This story didn't blow my socks off but I did like it, particularly the ending/epilogue.
