A very fun end to the series, but honestly, I think the introduction of another couple was sort of unnecessary. I had more fun with the events following the characters from the two previous books and also already had an attachment to them. The events felt pretty separate for much of the book and led to wonky pacing at times.
Honestly, this series is like watching all the Mission Impossibles or Indiana Jones. I mean, they all are very interchangeable adventures, but you have a fun time watching everything unfold.

I felt this third book and finale to the series was a little formulaic. Not as many surprises for me. I almost rated it 3 stars. But I do like the strength and smarts of the young female characters. And the format of the book is entertaining. I definitely tore through this one, which must mean I enjoyed it.

entiendo por qué hay gente que dice que el final puede llegar a ser underwhelming pero me parece que después de todo lo que pasó en esta trilogía, los personajes se merecen un final tranquilo y sin nada emocionante tbh

Once again, listen and physically read. The audio book and the book itself is wonderful when paired.
This was so close to being perfect for me. But it was stopped short by a plot choice built up from the beginning. The overlapping of story. Book 1 was about The first couple. Book 2 was majority about the second couple, but the first did come into play. In this they brought on a third couple and half of the book was about them. Its not that Asha and Rhys are not likeable, but I feel like they constantly had their story interrupted. It was jarring.
It had a fake out death again but I was kinda expecting it, so it didn't bother me too much.
Otherwise I love it. 100% will read the series again.

This story tied up a little too nicely, in my opinion. I really thought there would be some main character tragedies! But I still LOVED it and can't wait to listen to the audiobook!
