The final book of the series and I'm satisfied. None of the main characters we grew to love died and that's appreciated. This one took me a little longer to read than the first two and I think it's because there seemed to be less surprises. Fantastic series that I could totally see being adapted for the screen.

I thought that Obsidio was a fantastic finale to this trilogy. I’ve been reading this story for three and a half years now and I can’t believe that it’s over. I’ve had so many awesome memories because of this trilogy: I’ve made friends, gone to signings, met the amazing authors, and so much more all thanks to this trilogy! It’s heartbreaking to be finished with it but it’s an extremely amazing feeling to finally know how all of my favorite characters end up! I can’t wait to reread this book because whenever I’ve reread an Illuminae Files book, I’ve always ended up loving it even more than the first time around.

I FLEW through this book! Despite loving them, the others took me way longer to read. However, I attribute finishing this book so fast to listening to the audiobook while reading along. And honestly, the audiobook is as good as everyone says it is.
Overall, I think this book was a wonderful conclusion to this series. All the same characters you love are back while still bringing in some new ones. It also wrapped up so nicely that it didn’t leave me begging for more (even though I would happily take more!!!).
As a series as a whole, I think Gemina was my favorite of the three. I felt like I really connected to the characters in that book and it was when I really started loving these books. The first was great, the second was even better, and the third was the perfect conclusion to this epic ride.
As a whole, I definitely recommend this book to anyone, specifically, someone interested in starting to read the sci-fi genre. I think it is a wonderful introduction to all that the genre can bring and a wonderful and all around interesting (plot and visual) read.
