I'm fairly new to Ishiguro; each of the eclectic works I read impresses me more than the last. His characterization in these short stories is simply brilliant.

Some fine stories by Ishiguro, and a couple really shined (Malvern Hills and Come Rain or Come Shine), however there was some overlap between the stories that just didnt sit super well with me. There’s wonderful ideas of beauty of music and endings, but the same themes extrapolated 5 times through felt odd. There’s no doubting Ishiguro’s genius for writing, but this collection of short stories was not my favorite of his works
