This is a book that I feel reads differently than what I expected from reading the blurb. A lot of the book is quite depressing and although the blurb is correct, there is a major traumatic event that happens. The event is quite detailed and graphic. This event is a major part of the storyline and I feel that there should be a trigger warning. I read many books and a lot of them have dark or difficult themes. This being said, I am not offended or put off by difficult subject matter. I am however aware that the event that happens in this book may trigger others if they are not expecting it.
SpoilerThere is a quite detailed date rape scene.
My issue is not with the storyline. The story, in general, was fine. It was just not the kind of book I was expecting when I chose this one.

I like this book, though the romance plot was nothing special. Why does Summer accept him being mean, talking down to her, breaking up the relationship, and running away for months?  How does he manage to fix all that in a two minute chat? Summer claims to be less doormaty, but I think she became more of one towards the end.

Also sorry not sorry that was a Lame proposal. I might have told him to try harder while I think about it 😂. Don't propose at my son's baseball game.

Quick read

This was a great story and a quick easy read. The characters are very relatable. I didn’t want the story to end.

loved the story, the way the characters was written out
the love, the harships, trials and tribulations for the MCs to be together
how true love always come together in the end

Rhett goes home after an accident leaves him shaken and no longer confident.Summer goes back for her son to be fair to him.when they meet the sparks fly,and their romance blossoms.but what happens when they choose different paths in life?will they fight for their love?or will they walk away for the sake of their dreams?is ther anyway compromise is even possible when both want something different?

Lovely, sassy, full of attitude!
Started off with a surprising bang and flashbacks of high school thrown in. A LOT of foreshadowing and some flippant negative phrases that could have been left out, but overall it was great and many items were addressed and clarified to a more-or-less moral standard. I will likely read more by the author!
