Lento al principio, pero una vez que se van conectando todas las historias, es muy lindo.

i feel confident in saying this one was 5 stars I think. idk how to describe this other than masterclass. it feels very hard to me to write good dystopia that is relevant to a modern era. this is a very resonant book coming just out of a pandemic. and it is well done in its resonance but also does not hinge on the pandemic setting to give it is validity. its also a scary reflection on the things that people value and care for and how that influences our approaches to life. i think that it is so nuanced and attentive and caring for the future generations it contends with and it has characters from so many variant walks of life. it was just super enjoyable to read. i was very grateful to dig into this one. 5 stars.

this book is so beautiful, the “book jacket” summary doesn’t do it justice. I wasn’t prepared for the subject matter when I started but it was almost comforting, the tableau of humanity and all that and people intertwined across worlds evolving and a pandemic ridiculously worse than ours, lol. really good

Maybe it was the format (audiobook), the Shakespeare, or the focus on Arthur but I was absolutely bored at the 50% mark so I called it in.

It was ok. Never really pulled me in and finished it more out of duty than desire

For a book that asks "What would you miss?" the answer is obviously not technology, as none of the characters try very hard to fix or replace any of the technology that they lost.

If this book was a critique on American consumerism, it would make a bit more sense to me.

If you are an engineer or work in a technical field, you probably will not like this book.

If you like Shakespeare, or the performing arts, you probably will like this book.

Overall, it was not my cup of tea.
