I had to read this for school and it was definitely a great book with beautiful writing, but I really struggled to connect with it.

This is a short read and I love the writing style. It is so poetic and brings you into a world I wouldn't otherwise know. I like how straight forward and simplistic the book is while still packing in so much meaning. The only thing was that it could be hard to follow at times and I lost track of all the characters occasionally.

It was depressing cause no child should have to deal with so much.
I listened to it as an audiobook and later read it and I think the short sentences structure works better to listen to then to read, for me at least.
