I understand the deeper meaning of the book, I really do. Especially when read alongside The Call of the Wild (which I will be reading next). I just can't get past the animal abuse.
Graphic: Animal cruelty and Animal death

White Fang experiences a wide spectrum of civilization, from a little pup living in the wilderness all the way to crowded cities. His ordeal with the cold brutality of man gradually molds him into a new wolf, forced into life-threatening situations. The author extends an alternate viewpoint on humanity, creating the story from an outsider's perspective. I enjoy Jack London's books.

This would be an adventure book. I knew going in that it probably wasn't gonna be my thing, but I still wanted to read it. That's okay.
