I hate being the odd one out but this wasn't quite for me. I did enjoy bits of it, but there's plenty in here that wasn't for me. I think it was a bit too war heavy? I'm not sure. Definitely still continuing the series tho. 3 ⭐.

this series is really fun and the artwork is stunning, this story just isn't really for me. i've dipped my toe in it for now and if i do end up picking up the third volume, it probably won't be for a while (less)

There were parts of this that I wasn't very interested in, but I liked the introduction of various people related to Marko, and what this reveals about him as a character. The art is still stellar, Hazel has a nice narrative voice, and the story is compelling and has me invested.

In volume 2 we get to know more about the universe of Saga and more importantly, the characters. This is what I liked the most, everyone has motivations that feel real, they are complex and you can identify with them.

And oh boy, was that a cliffhanger!
