If you have ever seen the TV show Leverage and liked it then this story is for you. I loved the plot! The development of characters was good except Kat, the journalist. Kat was a disappointment for me. The character Meg was a true grifter. The story had a couple of dragging spots that was hard to get through but over all flowed good.

The backstory and build up to the finale was extremely well plotted, and while not what I would consider a suspense/thriller, it still kept me hooked on every page. The psychological revenge aspect was so worth the payoff at the end. It was a super quick read and mirrored some similar themes found in The Mindf*ck series (without the violence) and the TV series Revenge. Loved it and I rooted for Meg all the way through!

This read more like a suspenseful character study than a thriller, but I really enjoyed this!! I like this a lot better than Julie Clark’s previous book, The Last Flight. This was also the perfect length at 302 pages, I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any longer.

This book was fantastic. In a year of so many disappointing second books to amazing first ones, this is the exception. Read this in a day and couldn’t stop. The writing, the characters, the cons, the story, everything was perfect and so interesting and entertaining. I loved Meg, her mind and how she went about this, I really rooted for her doing the “right” thing. And Kat as well. Must read!!
